Please clean and calibrate your scanning as the following:
(1) Use the swab moistened with the cleaning detergent to clean the scanning glass few times, and then check the scan result. (2) Use the cleaning board to clean the rollers, and then check the scan result. (3) If none of above methods works, please perform calibration.
Note: Please perform (1) and (2) before calibration.
When the scanner is not in use for a long period of time, the lens components or rollers can easily accumulate the dust and dirt from the documents, resulting your scans come out too bright so that the scanner didn’t crop off the black borders accurately. When this issue occurred, we suggest you to follow the user guide included to clean your scanner, and then perform the calibration.
The settings/options are available in the Charms bar for the scanner app under Windows 8 and 8.1. For Windows PC, swipe in or mouse in from the right edge of the screen to access the Setting menu. Then you can find the App settings, including Calibrate, Clean, Resolution, etc. on the top of the menu, and also WiFi, Volume, Turn power off, etc. on the bottom of the menu.
There is an advanced Wi-Fi setting in Samsung smartphones, which can affect or interupt the Wi-Fi connection on the scanner. Please check the advanced Wi-Fi settings, and untick the Auto network switch as following screen:
